Fall is officially here and it’s time to change things up and tuck away my summery lemon tree centerpiece. Now I wanted to create a new one with a warm autumn palette of colors and seasonal plants.
Fall is officially here and it’s time to change things up and tuck away my summery lemon tree centerpiece. Now I wanted to create a new one with a warm autumn palette of colors and seasonal plants.
Fall makes me think of nuts and acorns, so I ordered what I thought would fill the vase nicely — then added a few Fall grasses, plumes, and colored leaves to the mix.
My first attempt was… well, let’s just say underwhelming. The spray of branches had the height I wanted, but everything felt muted, with no real pop. Even the vase with walnuts, acorns and cranberries looked dull. Truth is, I don’t always get it right on the first try.
Since the first arrangement just wasn't working for me, I decided to completely start over. Once again I'm using one of my large glass vases. Inside, a smaller cylinder vase to hold the plants. The cylinder vase is filled with florist's foam to secure placement of the branches.
For anyone wanting to recreate this seasonal look, the items I used are listed here with Amazon links. Purchasing through these links may earn me a small commission that helps me keep sharing the solutions, surprises, and occasional do-overs that come with DIY projects ;-)
